Hooters,
April’s craft of the month is here, and I’m so pleased with the finished product of my project. I found this beautiful gem on Pinterest (they never disappoint with the endless ideas of DIYs) and could not resist it. Easter is right around the corner, so why not craft a super cute bunny wreath for your front door? The wreath was easy, quick, and cheap to create; most of the supplies were found at my local Dollar Tree! If you would like to accomplish this project, I have listed the supplies and steps below. Of course, the goal is to be creative so make any adjustments to whatever fits your interest.
Supplies Needed:
- Large Wire/Metal Wreath
- Burlap
- Fabric (optional)
- Jumbo Rope (amount varies by size of wreath- I used 5 from D.T)
- Flower Stems
- Floral Garden Greenery
- Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
- Scissors
- Yarn/String
Steps:
- Use burlap to cut one circle (using wreath as a template) and two bunny ears (four for firmer ears- preferred)
- Use fabric to cut two smaller inner bunny ears
- Create hanging hook by tying yarn to wreath
- Wrap wreath with jumbo rope until covered completely (tuck and hot glue ending pieces to the back)
- Glue burlap circle to the back of wreath
- Combine bunny ears and attach to the back of wreath
- Place and glue garden greenery at the bottom of wreath
- Remove flowers from stem and place on top of greenery
- Hang on your door!
